Here in the U.S. at least, it has... been a day. Complete with literal Nazi salutes from Musk.

Americans of conscience will have a lot to do in the coming years. The important thing is not to cave in to the injustices they will try to normalize.

For right now... we're not that far past the Christmas season, so have a song about holding onto hope in dark times (Dolly Parton recorded this during the pandemic): "I Still Believe." Hope is the belief things can get better. Without it nothing gets better because no one tries. Hope is not a passive thing. Hope is how good gets done.
