Tangent Ray

I had this posted for mere minutes when I realized Ray's last name should be Tangent, and hastily went back and added that to Molly's voice bubble. Because Ray is always tangential, and it's a geometry joke, and... anyway....

Okay, so Ray’s baby took her first steps during “Love and Space” — which, since it was clearly autumn and took place before the wintertime story “From Out the Dark Deep, It Followed Me Home,” can’t have been any later than early December. The Interwebs say a baby usually starts walking at one year, but that with a grown-up holding her up, she might sorta do it at 7 months. We shall assume Ray’s wife was holding her upright. That would put today’s strip, with the baby's birthday imminent, in April or May. We know Molly’s birthday is in June, when Bob & Jean have scheduled their wedding; and that she was born in summer, so it’s after the solstice on June 21. So, Molly’s birthday is indeed soon, by the strip's internal calendar. I... think that all matches up? Do I enjoy overthinking things? Yes, yes I do.
